God's Timing

How many times do we use the word "wait"?  It seems we always are waiting on something or someone ~ somewhere for one reason or another.  The most dreaded thing that really gets to me are those long...long...long lines at the check out.  Sometimes I just think to myself, "man... what were they thinking only having one cashier up there or whoever runs this front end should be fired..."

I sure am glad God never carries that kind of attitude with any of us ~ because I am confident he would of let me go a long time ago.

No ~ God doesn't do that to us.  He loves us, unconditionally... and will wait patiently for his children to come to him.  But, at the same time... we too, must be willing to wait on him.  There are times when we may really want something or want things "our way" - yet, the thing is, that's not the attitude God tends for us to have.  That is one of the beauties of God.  Everything is in his timing... not our will be done, but HIS.

In 2Corinthians 6:2 (New Testament),  Paul tells us that, "now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation".  Isn't it wonderful to know that we will never have to "wait" to become a child of God.  What a wonderful gift he has given.  The one true thing in life that is free ~ also ~ comes without a wait.  (1Corinthians 7:23)  How blessed we are INDEED!

May God bless you today, as you seek him throughout your day.  God be with you always.

Faithfully Serving,

~Missy
