Coastal Community Church is part of a denomination known as the "International Church of the Nazarene."
A little about the movement worldwide . . . The Church of the Nazarene is currently carrying out God's plan for His church in 156 world areas, promoting a life of holiness, proclaiming that God desires that no man perish, but that all would be saved and come into a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a denomination we see ourselves as just one among many in the bigger body of Christ. Locally, Coastal Community Church is currently made up of folks ranging from new born babies to some in there eighties, and who live in about every area of Brunswick County, as well as Columbus County and New Hanover County. We are Wesleyan-Arminian in our faith, which means among other things, we are Trinitarian (believe there is one God, who is three persons in one essence - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We have an optimistic perspective on what God is trying to do in and through those who follow Him. If God says He will do it, we take Him at His word. If He says He will do it in us, no matter how impossible it may seem, we believe Him!
Our church's most recent blessing came in the purchase of property next door to where we currently worship! This was a gift from God, as we are now stewards of 4.4 acres of land, and are making plans to build the first phase of our new facility in the next couple years.
We currently have exciting ministries happening for all ages. This February we launched our HOLISTIC WEDNESDAYS Ministries, which has been a huge success! We have a ministry happening on Wednesdays for every age group and gender . . . Children, Teens(NYI), Women, Men . . . followed by Worship Practice. It all kicks off every Wednesday evening with a meal, servced at 6 PM. Our children learn Bible stories, do crafts, particpate in a Children's Bell Choir, and much more. Our teens have a vibrant and exiciting ministry with more than a dozen teens every Wednesday. Our Bible Studies for the Men and Women are practical and effective! Come and be fed physically, followed by being filled spiritually every Wednesday, beginning at 6 PM!
