Coastal Community Church is part of a denomination known as the "International Church of the Nazarene."
A little about the movement worldwide . . . The Church of the Nazarene is currently carrying out God's plan for His church in 156 world areas, promoting a life of holiness, proclaiming that God desires that no man perish, but that all would be saved and come into a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a denomination we see ourselves as just one among many in the bigger body of Christ. Locally, Coastal Community Church is currently made up of folks ranging from new born babies to some in there eighties, and who live in about every area of Brunswick County, as well as Columbus County. We are Wesleyan-Arminian in our faith, which means among other things, we are Trinitarian (believe there is one God, who is three persons in one essence - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We have an optimistic perspective on what God is trying to do in and through those who follow Him. If God says He will do it, we take Him at His word. If He says He will do it in us, no matter how impossible it may seem, we believe Him!
We currently have exciting ministries happening for all ages. Wednesday evenings are full of ministry and ministry opportunities! Our children learn Bible stories, do crafts, particpate in a Children's Bell Choir, and much more. Our teens are delving into the Dare2Share curriculum and learning what it means to be challenged to a deeper walk with God. We have small group Bible Studies taking place, as well as Sunday School for all ages.
