Pastor: Doug Sherwood 

Twenty-five years ago Pastor Doug and Debbie Sherwood began their marriage here on the coast of North Carolina.  It was here in this community God called Pastor Doug into the ministry, at which time he and Debbie moved to Trevecca Nazarene College (Now Trevecca Nazarene University), in Nashville, Tennessee.  There, Pastor Doug earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion, and Master of Arts in Theology, followed by post graduate work at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.  They have pastored churches in Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina.  Pastor Doug was ordained on the Virginia District Church of the Nazarene in August 1990.  In 2000 God brought the Sherwoods full circle as He led them back to Brunswick County, North Carolina, in preparation for starting this new ministry.  They have two daughters, Stephanie (19) and Makenzie (7).  In regards to the 11 years between their girls, Debbie often tells people, "It just shows that God does have a sense of humor!"
